Rev. Enid Rios Rivera,
Executive Pastor
Rev. Enid Rios Rivera is the Executive Pastor at the Primitive Christian Church (PCC) in New York City, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the entire church ministry. Prior to her appointment in 1998 to join the pastoral team on a full-time basis, she served in many areas of ministry from teaching Sunday School classes to heading several departments. As Executive Pastor, she ensures that staff and volunteers utilize every opportunity to showcase excellence. She believes and practices that God deserves only the best we can deliver. Pastor E was brought to the church along with her siblings by her mother, Elsa in 1960.
Pastor E (as she is affectionately called) is a gifted and creative preacher, who focuses her energies to guide people so that they can reach their fullest potential. She is a woman who is passionate for God and deeply enjoys worshipping Him. Her constant desire is to know God better and to encourage others to faithfully follow after Him, in the good AND bad times. A model of integrity and feminine grace, Pastor E influences women through her participation as a member of the Board of Directors and the New York Regional Representative of the Center for Emerging Female Leadership.
Born and raised in New York City, she attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Hunter College and completed her theological studies at the Assemblies of God Bible Institute. She also graduated from the Antioch School of Urban Ministry and completed a graduate course of study in Pastoral Care & Counseling at the Blanton Peale Graduate Institute. Pastor E is the wife (since July, 1976) of Rev. Dr. Marcos Rivera, the Senior Pastor at PCC and the mother of their two adult sons Timothy A. and Matthew O. and the mother-in-law of Kimberly Nicole (Tim’s wife) and Lezette (Matt’s wife). She is also the very proud grandmother of Bella, Caliya and Jolie.
